So you get a piece of paper but you soon realise that you don't have any idea what you are going to write about and that you have no idea how to write one.  Well no props, it happens to a lot of us!  Well, that's why I'm gonna tell you all the secrets to writing a good short story while enjoying the process! 1) Start by defining your key emotion- Hey, first decide whether you are writing a thriller, comedy or tragedy! 2) Make a mindmap- Come on! How will you organize your plot and ideas without a mind map? 3) Develop characters from the people you know- That's easy. 4) Pick a setting-You need an exciting one! 5) You need a strong conflict- Rouse your readers with a strong climax and conflict that will leave them on the edge of their seat. 6) Stay away from common endings- Please, no more happily ever afters.
